Tablet Magic for MAC OS

Date May 12, 2008

TabletMagic is an excellent new project which has been designed in order to support other obsolete tablet brands for Mac OS X. I had the opportunity to check out TabletMagic last week and I personally found that Tablet Magic brings full support to Mac OS X for almost all Wacom serial Tablets. Some of the tablet models that I tested are GD-1218-R, GD-0608-R, UD-1212-R, UD-1218-R, CT-0045-R, PL-300, PL-400, SD-420L.

Further, TabletMagic also supports many TabletPC digitizers. So go ahead and try it on your Macintosh TabletPC right away – after all its free isn’t it! Tablet Magic sure is an excellent open source alternative application for the Mac OS. As mentioned earlier, TabletMagic supports almost all of the serial tablets having the model numbers starting with the code SD, UD, KT, CT, GD, XD, and PL. According to their officila press release, support for Graphire is in the development stage.

After installing and using Tablet Magic, I feel that it’s been a great find for me today. Seems to be my lucky day today. More applications, especially ones which are open source and are useful as alternatives for expensive applications used in Mac, windows and Linux will be reviewed in this blog, in the near future.
