Emacspeak – An Audio Desktop

Emacspeak is a free, open source software which is used as a screen reader application for emacs. Emacspeak has been developed using a combination of C, Emacs Lisp and Tcl. Emacspeak was the brain child of T.V. Raman who during his early childhood was blind. T.V. Raman worked with Adobe and IBM and was instrumental in developing voice software for both these software majors. Emacspeak has been released under the terms of the open source, GNU genral public licence.
